The word magical can be easily thrown around when describing the perfect wedding day. There are so many unique moments and touches that come together. However, Annalise & Alex’s Hudson Basilica Wedding Cinema, from the unique decorations to having their Jens Lekman himself sing at their wedding reception, was the pure definition of truly magical
Their wedding day began at the beautiful Hudson Valley Basilica with an intimate ceremony in their amazing ceremony room, blending together Greek and Persian traditions. With heartfelt vows and readings from their family and friends, the bride and groom were married together by the bride’s pastor since childhood.
The reception then took place in the showstopping main ballroom of The Basilica. On a black and white checkered dance floor, surrounded by rustic chandeliers, warm string lights and flanked by wooden rows and happy guests, the bride and groom had their first dance. One of the most amazing moments happened during this dance as the wedding couple had their favorite singer in the world, the famous Jens Leckman himself travel from Sweden to the Hudson valley to sing one of his hit songs, “Your arms around me” for their first dance!
The night just began as Jens Lekman sang more of his hit songs, which were then followed by their amazing band as the dance floor remained packed the entire night, filled with traditional Greek songs and dances mixed with the bride and grooms amazing song choices.
Nothing felt ordinary throughout the day and yet everything felt right, truly an expression of Annalise & Alex’s love and individuality and we were so lucky to be a part of it!
